Aspen

The City of Aspen and its world-renowned ski areas and lodging are located in west-central Colorado, just 40 miles southeast of Glenwood Springs on Highway 82. During the winter months, this route serves as the only highway access to Aspen. In the summer, Aspen can be accessed from the east over scenic Independence Pass on Highway 82. Please note that Independence Pass is typically closed from early November through May.
