The Aspen Chamber Resort Association is always working to create and attract special events that draw local, regional and destination visitors to Aspen. The ACRA is proud to produce five local events throughout the year that delight locals and visitors alike. Aspen/Snowmass also brings several nationally recognized evens to the mountain every year.
Aspen Winternational
The world’s fastest women skiers will once again take Aspen Mountain by storm over Thanksgiving weekend. Spectators near and far are invited to the base of Lift 1A on Aspen Mountain to enjoy prime viewing of the finish line from the grandstands. Television coverage by NBC and Versus will capture the excitement that embodies World Cup racing. Plum TV will also be broadcasting all the races live!! The weekend includes the first Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series of the season. Both events are FREE and open to the public!

Wintersköl, Aspen's annual "toast to winter," dates back to a quiet January in 1951 when local Aspenites decided to celebrate Aspen's unique Nordic lifestyle with an eclectic weekend of festivities. The four day celebration features on-mountain activities, Soupsköl, a canine fashion show, winterfest, fireworks, and much more.

ESPN Winter X Games 16
For an unprecedented 11th year in a row, more than 200 ski, snowboard and snowmobile athletes from across the globe will land in Aspen/Snowmass to compete in ESPN’s Winter X Games 16 on Buttermilk. All events at Buttermilk are FREE and open to the public. In addition to the action at Buttermilk, Aspen/Snowmass will host a FREE Bud Light Hi-Fi concert at the base of Aspen Mountain. Aspen/Snowmass Open
In its 6th year at Buttermilk Mountain, the Aspen/Snowmass Open gives up-and-coming skiers and snowboarders a chance to get recognized. Featuring a $50,000 cash purse, this event attracts over 350 athletes competing on the X Games courses for slopestyle and superpipe.

NASTAR National Championships
Avid skiers from approximately 45 states, ranging in age from three to 90, will converge on the world-class resort to compete for national titles in various divisions of the Nature Valley NASTAR National Championships. The event is proud to be returning to Aspen/ Snowmass for 2013, and will celebrate the sport of alpine racing and serve as a reunion for the top recreational racers in the country. Aspen/Snowmass has planned an exciting week of activities that includes race clinics, races, free concerts, Warren Miller movie screenings, autograph signings by U.S. Ski Team alumni and NASTAR Pacesetters, competitor raffles/giveaways, awards receptions, a Family Challenge team competition and a Team Race.

Food & Wine Classic in Aspen
The Aspen Food & Wine Classic is one of the nation's most prestigious epicurean events. Culinary stars show their passion for food, wine and entertaining. More than 300 Vintners pour premium wines complimented by specialty foods from around the world. Join leading chefs including Mario Batali, Jacques Pépin, and noted wine authorities such as Joshua Wesson for three inspiring days of wine tastings, cooking demonstrations and special events.
Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration
Aspen celebrates Independence Day with a whimsical twist. Each year, approximately 20,000 local residents and visitors come together to honor the nation's birthday in true American style. Festivities include a parade, U.S. Airforce flyby, concerts, a kid's bicycle rodeo, and spectacular fireworks over Aspen Mountain.
Aspen Arts Festival
Aspen Chamber Resort Association is proud to join Howard Alan Events in hosting the Aspen Arts Festival. Aspen's spectacular mountain setting provides a wonderful "open art gallery" to over 170 exhibitors offering jewelry, pottery, sculpture, glass, ceramics, paintings, prints...and more!
