Nature Valley Aspen Winternational Thanksgiving Weekend

The world’s fastest women skiers will once again take Aspen Mountain by storm over Thanksgiving weekend for the 2012 Audi FIS Ski World Cup at the Nature Valley Aspen Winternational. Spectators near and far are invited to the base of Lift 1A on Aspen Mountain to enjoy prime viewing of the finish line from the grandstands.  Live television coverage by NBC and Versus will capture the excitement that embodies World Cup racing during this 2-day event November 24 & 25. Plum TV will also be broadcasting all the races live!! The weekend includes the first Bud Light Hi-Fi Concert Series of the season.  Both events are FREE and open to the public!

As early as mid October, the Rocky Mountains welcomed cold temperatures and plentiful natural snowfall to create outstanding early season skiing and race training conditions. Aspen has been no exception.  The annual Thanksgiving weekend event launches the North American swing of the Audi FIS Alpine World Cup, but it also brings ski racing action back to the forefront. In addition to world class racing, world-class food will accompany the ski events at Taste of Winternational.  At the base, Aspen Skiing Company and Aspen Community Foundation invite the community to come to the Aspen Winternational and enjoy complimentary food tastings from a selection of restaurants across Aspen/Snowmass.  Watch live music between the races while snacking on food from ASC Catering featuring dishes from from Cloud Nine, ASC Catering, The Cliffhouse, Ullrhof, Sam’s Smokehouse, Bumps and the Lynn Britt Cabin.  The Taste of Winternational will start at 11:45 am each day.
