Wintersköl, Aspen's annual "toast to winter," dates back to a quiet January in 1951 when local Aspenites decided to celebrate Aspen's unique Nordic lifestyle with an eclectic weekend of festivities. The four day celebration features on-mountain activities, Soupsköl, a canine fashion show, winterfest, fireworks, and much more.
ESPN Winter X Games 16
The annual Winter X Games is the premier winter action sports event in the world, featuring athletes from across the globe competing for medals and prize money in the sports of Ski, Snowboard and Snowmobile. Winter X Games 16 will feature nighttime events and will be telecast live
on ESPN and ABC.
Aspen Fashion Week
Aspen's destination fashion event designed to showcase and market winter resort, ski and technical outerwear in the home and playground of the most stylish consumers. Designers will present Winter 2011 / 2012 collections to create a stylish marketplace for buyers, editors, trendsetters and consumers with Aspen Mountain as the backdrop. With daily après showings, on-mountain events, nightly runway shows and late night fashionable soirees, 2011 will launch the hottest fashion event to hit the Rockies.
Bud Light Spring Jam
Aspen's premier spring festival in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, continues like never before with two weekends - March 16-18 and March 23-25, of new-school competitions, downtown concerts and parties. Downtown Aspen's CORE Block Party kicks off the Jam on March 16 and is free and open to the public. Also includes Chris Klug's Spring Snowboard Camp, KickAspen Big Air, Bud Light Hi-Fi Concerts, and Terrain Park Boot Camp.
Aspen Laff Festival
After thirteen years as the featured site for the HBO/U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, and three years as the co-producer and home of the Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival, the Wheeler Opera House presents this unique four-day comedy experience, where comics really get to do what comics do best: Everything funny. Come ski all day and laugh all night as we present the most brilliant new voices in comedy in a variety of stand-up and improv events at the Wheeler!

Helly Hansen Battle in the Bowls
This legendary race is celebrated through the Aspen Valley. With 3 divisions for competitive ski, competitive snowboard and overall non-competitive, each team must finish the course (designed by Chris Davenport and Travis McClain) within the 4 hour time frame. The cost is $75/Team and each registrant receives a Helly Hansen Baselayer that includes the event logo! This is open to any skier or snowboarder who enjoys riding Aspen Highlands.
Aspen ShortsFest
Recognized as one of the world's "50 Leading Film Festivals" by IndieWIRE, Aspen Shortsfest is one of the world's premier international short film and video showcases for the trend-setting art form: the short. This Oscar-qualifying international competition offers a lively, thought-provoking, and humorous selection of drama, comedy, animation and documentary - all at 40 minutes or less.
