Aspen's best kept secret is our beautiful summers. Enjoy a range of Annual Events which begin in June and take us all the way through September. Summer brings warm days and cooler nights, the perfect balance to enjoy the mountains and your fun filled adventures.
Snowmass Free Concert Series (June 9-August 16, 2018)
A Snowmass summer tradition 27 years in the making, the Snowmass Free Concert Series is a must-do music event. Every Thursday evening (and two bonus Saturdays), locals and visitors alike gather on Fanny Hill to enjoy some of the country’s best live bands in a relaxed atmosphere with a spectacular mountain backdrop.
Snowmass Rodeo (June 13-August 22, 2018)
Celebrating its 45th year of Western tradition in 2018, the Snowmass Rodeo is one of the longest running rodeos in Colorado. This authentic Western event includes a BBQ, bull riding, team roping, barrel racing and bronc riding. Kids can compete in the calf scramble or try their hand at mutton bustin’. There’s even a petting zoo and a mechanical bull. Top off the night with marshmallows around a cozy campfire. BBQ begins at 5:00pm, and the Rodeo begins at 7:00pm every Wednesday rain or shine.
Aspen Saturday Market (June 16 - October 6, 2018)
Join visitors and locals on Saturdays at the Farmers Market in downtown Aspen. Buy some local Colorado produce, crafts or grab some lunch from the food vendors. This is a great way to enjoy a leisurely Saturday in Aspen.

FOOD & WINE Classic in Aspen (June 15-17, 2018)
The Aspen Food & Wine Classic is one of the nation's most prestigious epicurean events. Culinary stars show their passion for food, wine and entertaining. More than 300 Vintners pour premium wines complimented by specialty foods from around the world. Join leading chefs including Mario Batali, Jacques Pépin, and noted wine authorities such as Joshua Wesson for three inspiring days of wine tastings, cooking demonstrations and special events.
JAS Aspen Snowmass (June 21-30, 2018 & Labor Day, Aug. 31-Sept. 2, 2018)
This iconic music event brings the hottest new musicians and some classic favorites for two weekends during the summer. Kick off summer at the end of June with a more traditional jazz music scene and wrap up summer on Labor Day Weekend for a more rock 'n' roll vibe.
Aspen Music Festival and School (June 28 - August 19)
Classical Music in our Rocky Mountain setting is like no other. Whether you are a classical music aficionado or a novice, this Festival will keep you coming back for more.
Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration (July 4, 2018)
Aspen celebrates Independence Day with a whimsical twist. Each year, approximately 20,000 local residents and visitors come together to honor the nation's birthday in true American style. Festivities include a parade, concerts, and spectacular fireworks over Aspen Mountain.
Aspen Arts Festival (July 21-22, 2018)
Aspen Chamber Resort Association is proud to join Howard Alan Events in hosting the Aspen Arts Festival. Aspen's spectacular mountain setting provides a wonderful "open art gallery" to over 170 exhibitors offering jewelry, pottery, sculpture, glass, ceramics, paintings, prints and more!
Audi Power of Four Trail Run & Mountain Bike Races (July 28+29, 2018)
The Audi Power of Four Race Series is a premier endurance race series utilizing the unique and amazing trail selection the upper Roaring Fork Valley has to offer. Each race is designed to test the limits and skills of both elite and recreational athletes.
Ragnar Colorado (August 10-11, 2018)
Happening on Aug 10-11th, the 200-ish mile adventure kicks off at Copper Mountain Ski Resort and wraps up in Snowmass Village. Teams of 12 (or 6) run two days and one star-filled night, past six world-famous Colorado ski towns, through the White River National Forest and next to the Colorado River on bike paths, back roads and even a little bit of single-track trail.
Tough Mudder Colorado (August 25-26, 2018)
10 miles, 20+ obstacles, and the biggest elevation gain of any Tough Mudder in North America. With the help of your fellow Mudders, you’ll overcome best-in-class obstacles and adrenaline-packed challenges. You’ll find out what you’re really made of, while having the most fun you’ve had in recent memory.
Snowmass Balloon Festival (September 7-8, 2018)
The Snowmass Balloon Festival fills the sky with one of the highest-altitude balloon events in the country. Over three days, 30 pilots compete in challenges such as a distance race that covers the whole Roaring Fork Valley. All Balloon Festival events are free.
Golden Leaf Half Marathon (September 22, 2018)
The Golden Leaf is one of the most beautiful foot races in the Rockies. In the height of the picturesque fall colors of Colorado, the Aspen Trees will guide runners on this challenging course. The course traverses from Snowmass Village to Aspen on mountain trails and roads with fabulous mountain views. The trail can be narrow and steep at times with elevation gains of 970 feet peaking at 9,400 feet in elevation.
The Aspen Chamber Resort Association is always working to create and attract special events that draw local, regional and destination visitors to Aspen. The ACRA is proud to produce five local events throughout the year that delight locals and visitors alike
