Kids of all ages can participate in Aspen Ski School. Ages 2-17 can take group lessons and private lessons. Skiing starts at age 2, snowboarding 6 to 7 are good ages to start. Why not learn how to do both snow sports at an early age, you'll never regret it. Childcare for those who aren't up to skiing yet is available through Ski School too, just be sure to make a reservation! For a day off the slopes, check out Teddy Bear Story Hour during the Holidays or The Aspen Art Museum throughout the year for culture.
For the older kids, plan a trip to Aspen during the X Games in January to see the top skiers, snowboarders and snowmobilers. Every Friday from late December through early April, Ullr Nights takes place on Snowmass Mountain. Ullr Nights honors the Norse God of Snow with events like ice skating, snowshoeing, a bonfire with s'mores and hot chocolate, snow tubing and more.
